groovy-grilled-cheese said: Your posts are A+ quality tbh and so hilarious. With all the patch drama in the community I was wondering your opinions on everything?
My opinion is - it’s just a game. I got my money’s worth of entertainment within weeks of first purchasing it, and it’s been free to enjoy ever since. Beyond that the friendships I’ve made are what are most important to me at this point. I let the drama float on by. However, I’m a pretty casual player overall so I may not be the best person for this kind of question. There are some things that annoy me, and I wouldn’t say ArenaNet/NCSoft (whoever is pulling the strings) is doing all that it can for its players, if listening to us at all - but to fuss about it won’t do anything but frustrate me.
I play MMOs largely for the social part of it and most importantly for the fun of it, the numbers and builds don’t interest me. I play characters that are fun, I play with people that are fun, and we do fun things - or do tough things and make them fun. It’s a game and one that is going to continue to change with or without me. When it stops being fun, and starts being drama, then maybe it’s time to find something better suited to your interests.
I’m not sure if you were looking for specific answers to the problems people are griping about with the September patch, but I don’t really have any specific gripes. Other than the fact that I want a green commander tag because green is #1 best color. (And an unrelated gripe: if it were up to me I’d still be playing City of Villains/City of Heroes, so I hold that against NCSoft most of all.)
Also a big thank you for the compliments, and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog!
Me in WvW tbh.
